Tuesday Keynote (Modern Perl)

This talk will attempt to explain the history of Perl from the viewpoint of the current Modern Perl movement. We will show how Perl thoughout the ages has morphed and grown as a language to fill the needs of it's wide and diverse range of users.

We then examine Modern Perl today, peeling away the hype and examining what Modern Perl really means to the every-man programmer in the trenches.

We will then explore where Perl is headed in the future.

And then we will go drink beer!
